Survivors in a group of 78 Australians on a tour of Egypt in 2006, where six tourists were killed in a horrific bus crash, have been unable to make any claims against tour organizer Stephen Seif for compensation for their medical costs.

The Melbourne tour business did not have insurance at the time of the crash, and lawyers for the families say it is impossible for them to sue in civil court because the organizer does not have any assets in his name.

Coroner Paresa Spanos blamed the accident on driver fatigue, speed, poor road surface and dark and damp conditions,  but said she was unable to deliver findings against Stephen Seif.
