BBC TV series boosts Egypt Tourism

According to a report on South Hall Travel, more people are booking flights to Egypt, as a result of the popular TV series Tropic of Cancer, which started airing on BBC March 14, 2010.

Simon Reeve, author and broadcaster, has been traveling around little-known regions of the world for a series of BBC television documentaries. In Tropic of Cancer, Reeve embarks on his most ambitious journey yet, circling the world following the line that marks the northern border of the earth’s tropical region.

The episode in which Reeve visits Egypt was broadcast on April 3rd. He visited the ancient temples of Abu Simbel in the southern part of the country, as well as going diving in the Red Sea.
