New Sonesta hotel in Egypt planned for 2012

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation has announced the Sonesta Kiroseiz Beach Resort Dahab, in Egypt. The 450-room resort, now under development, will open in 2012 under a new management agreement between Sonesta International Hotels and Kiroseiz Hotels Establishment. The Resort will be located on the Sinai Peninsula on the Red Sea, just 50 miles north of Sharm El Sheikh.

Dahab is renowned for spectacular diving on the Red Sea coral reefs and for expert windsurfing. Resort amenities will include: 3 restaurants; several cocktail lounges; lobby café; shopping arcade; several swimming pools and a children’s pool; floating sea pool; health club/spa; tennis; dive and windsurfing center and water park. The resort will also offer convention space for groups of up to 350 guests.

The Sonesta Kiroseiz Beach Resort will be the 7th Sonesta hotel in Egypt and will bring the total (including the ships on the Nile) to 13 managed properties in the country.
