Out Of Egypt – Dr. Kara Cooney travels the globe and presents a new approach to unravelling some perplexing mysteries at the root of the world’s oldest civilizations. Follow as she explores remarkable archaeological sites, interacts with surviving indigenous cultures, and examines long standing mysteries in her search for solutions. Often, the hunt leads her back to Egypt, and to a better understanding of not just the ancient Egyptians, but of the ways people and societies have behaved throughout history.
King Tut Unwrapped – King Tutankhamun is one of the world’s icons. Now, Dr. Zahi Hawass and his scientific team will use state-of-the-art technology to unlock his secrets. For the first time ever, they will use DNA testing on King Tut himself and the royal mummies of Egypt’s Golden Age. Combined with the latest CT scan technology and hands-on forensic anthropology, the team will unravel once and for all the mysteries of the boy king in this landmark investigation.
Under The Pyramids – Just a short distance from the Great Pyramid at Giza is an enormous shaft, some 30 metres deep, which has puzzled and frustrated Egyptologists for decades. The shaft has been the source of much speculation. “Under the Pyramids” explores the secret tunnels linked to the pyramids and whether they connect with the Sphinx.
Egypt’s Mystery Chamber – Using the latest scientific techniques, Dr. Hawass and a team of experts set out to try and prove his theory that KV63 was built for the body of a queen who has disappeared from history – Kiya, Tutankhamen’s mother.
