Race car driver Alex Tagliani is doing double duty in Indianapolis this year.

The Conquest Racing driver hopes to qualify for his first Indianapolis 500, and he’s also promoting a King Tut exhibition coming to the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis in June.

Tagliani will be driving No. 34, dubbed the “King Tut” car, which will feature King Tut exhibition branding on the engine cover, nose cone and front wings.

Arts and Exhibitions International, on behalf of the Children’s Museum, is a major associate sponsor for the Conquest Racing team for this year’s Indianapolis 500.

Made by Dallara, it has a Honda engine and Firestone tires. Tagliani described it as a missile with four tires sticking out and wings that work the opposite of airplane wings. Airplane wings produce lift, while on an Indy race car, the wings force the high-speed cars to stay on the ground, he explained.

Lost Creek was the first school that Tagliani visited to help promote the exhibition. After he finished speaking, students got to go see the demonstration King Tut car, and a select group of 14 students got free tickets to the King Tut exhibit.
