Animal Welfare of Luxor (AWOL) is a small UK registered free services charity whose aim is to break the circle of ignorance by educating the children of Luxor in the proper care of their animals and the animals that work for their family.
AWOL works throughout the poor farming community of El Marise, on the west bank of the river Nile, just to the south of Luxor, to improve the living and working conditions of dogs, horses and mostly the extremely hard worked donkeys through preventative medical care and education. The organization urgently need extra funds to build a basic medical center.
