A new exhibition, Echoes of Egypt, is scheduled to open on Sunday at the Bible Lands Museum in Jerusalem, in the presence of national and international dignitaries in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Israel-Egypt Peace Agreement.

The exhibition displays an impressive collection of photos, paintings, maps and prints of Egypt’s magnificent monuments and daily life in the 19th century. The collection includes photos from 1857 by Francis Frith, paintings from 1838 by David Roberts and more works of art by famous painters and photographers who were among the first westerners to document Egypt’s mysteries and wonders.
